Clean, repair, and dry the surface
The surface must be structurally sound, dry, clean, and free of contaminants. Repair cracks and apply joint caulking before sealing, and mask off surrounding areas you do not want treated. New concrete needs a full 28 days of cure before it can be sealed, and substrate moisture should be below 4% for best penetration.
After washing, give the surface a full 24 hours to dry before you seal. Color Shield penetrates best into a dry substrate.
