Detailed Instructions For Applying GreenEZ EVOLVE Soy Stains

Step 1: Surface Preparation
- To ensure the best possible result, start by sanding the wood surface to a 220 grit level. This preparation step is crucial for achieving the ideal surface porosity, allowing for optimal penetration of our high-grade soy-oil based EVOLVE stains.

Step 2: Shake the Stain Bottle
- Vigorously shake your bottle of GreenEZ EVOLVE Soy Stains before use. This ensures the soy methyl ester (SME) and pigments are well mixed, guaranteeing an even color application.

Step 3: Dampen the Surface
- Lightly moisten the wood surface with a damp, clean cloth. This step is not just about cleaning; it helps open the wood's pores, enhancing the stain's absorption.

Step 4: Apply the Stain
- Pour a small amount of the stain onto a lamb's wool or microfiber hand applicator, which are especially effective for these types of stains. Although a high-quality brush can also be used, the applicators are recommended for their ability to ensure an even application.

- You have the flexibility to apply the stain either in the direction of the wood grain for a traditional look or in circular motions similar to wax application. Both methods ensure deep penetration and even distribution of the stain.

Step 5: Wipe Off Excess and Dry

- Allow the stained surface to dry for 4-6 hours in a well-ventilated area. For best results, and to avoid any issues with atmospheric humidity affecting the drying process, let it dry overnight indoors.

- Once the stain is thoroughly dry, inspect the surface for any dust or imperfections. Wipe off any surface dust with a clean cloth, preparing it for the final seal.
